Under general supervision, the Food Server obtains guest food and beverage orders. Ensure accurate and timely service of all orders by working with kitchen personnel.
Deliver internal and external guest service the Pinnacle Way by ensuring every interaction includes our Six Core Service Standards (Look Sharp, smile & greet the guest. Be friendly, polite & use courteous language. Provide especially timely & knowledgeable service; and then some! Always find solutions to guests’ problems. Use the guest’s name when appropriate. Thank the guest and invite him or her back.).
Obtain food and beverage orders from guests. Ensure guests’ ordering and consuming alcoholic beverages are at least 21 years of age.
Maintain knowledge of menu offerings to answer guest questions and provide suggestions.
Accurately enter guest order information into MICROS system in a timely manner.
Perform food preparation duties such as preparing salads, appetizers, and cold dishes, portioning desserts and brewing coffee. Garnish and decorate dishes in preparation for serving.
Serve food and beverages to guests, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required.
Check with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens. Fill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiment and napkin containers.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through at least 1-year experience directly related to the accountabilities specified.
