  • What would I be doing?

    Provides supervision to officers of assigned shift during daily operations.  The supervisor is responsible for the safety and security of the casino’s guest, team members and company assets.  The supervisor handles serious property issues. 

    Responsibilities

    • Maintains the highest level of guest service and professionalism at all times.
    • Provides supervision for officers of the casino. 
    • Is responsible for directing, motivating, training and coaching team members of the security department. 
    • Addresses any serious issues on the property. 
    • Provides oversight to officers’ dealings.
    • Conducts inspections and investigations.
    • Schedules and coordinates personnel needs and assignments to insure adequate coverage. 
    • Instructs all employees as to safety policies and procedures.
    • Ensures that officers abide by state and company gaming regulations and maintain compliance at all times.
    • Develops procedures and training for officers.  Institutes policies, procedures and training.
    • Keeps the security team well educated and informed about prior and upcoming happenings on the property. 
    • Operates in an ethical and respectful manner at all times.
    • Makes suggestions to senior security leaders to improve the department.
    • Keeps senior management of the security department well informed regarding the happenings in the casino and in the department. 
    • Provides insight and hiring suggestions to department leaders. 
    • Works with the Colorado Division of Gaming and Black Hawk Police Department to address requests.
    • Provides continuous patrol by foot of the casino, hotel and surrounding areas owned by the casino. Identify and address any suspicious persons or vehicles and or minors entering the casino or being left in the parking lots.
    • Checks identification of any patron under the age of 30. 
    • Prepares detail reports on any security related incidents occurring on company property.
    • Escorts and transports funds for table fills, slots and or banks. Provide security for money drops to include tables and slots. Provides escorts in sensitive areas for all non-gaming team members i.e.; maintenance, repair companies and or cleaning personnel.
    • Responds to disturbances and alarms and provides security for both guests and team members.
    • Addresses any type of medical situations on property and ensures proper emergency contacts are notified if necessary.
    • Is responsible for ensuring gaming compliance throughout the casino.
    • Works with and oversees a variety of gaming operations to make sure assets are protected and compliance is maintained. 
    • Assists team members and departments with daily operations.
    •  Maintains the appearance standards of the casino at all times.

    What are we looking for?

    • Strong problem solving, mediation, coaching, and consulting skills required.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
    • Knowledge of applicable state laws and gaming regulations and casino standard operating procedures required.
    • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism is required.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with guests and team members at all levels of the organization.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented
    • Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of a shift.
    • Must be able to remain calm in emergency or stressful situations
    •  Must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Gaming License.
    • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • At least one (1) year experience in supervision.
    • Demonstrate the ability to plan, organize work, and to train Security Officers in the performance of their duties.
    • Must hold a valid Colorado drivers license.
