This is a Las Vegas Service Center based position that is responsible for the administration of all IT systems from an infrastructure standpoint including server operating systems, hardware, attached and SAN storage devices, enterprise e-mail and mobile device management, and load balancing solutions.


These function are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position

  • Core duty is to maintain the IT systems infrastructure and lead the day-to-day monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manage the enterprise of Active Directory (AD) for all Pinnacle properties and the Las Vegas Service Center.
  • Perform 2nd level AD provisioning of user and group accounts for all Pinnacle properties.
  • Lead the troubleshooting and diagnosis of system problems that impact the IT environment.
  • Must be experienced in recent versions of Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • Understanding of Windows Server roles and services including DNS, DHCP, CA, Active Directory, IIS, File & Print services, RDP, and Terminal Server.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Clustering and all concepts to support a redundant or fault tolerant server infrastructure.
  • Assist when required with installation of modifications, upgrades, patches, or hotfixes to IT systems using Microsoft System Center, Configuration Manager.
  • Familiar with VMWare virtualization technologies with ability to deploy and support currently deployed virtual environments.
  • Maintains detailed system documentation and inventory of IT assets including hardware and software installed on servers or desktop environments.
  • Performs and monitors the IT Backup Policy to ensure all emergency and scheduled backups are operating properly.
  • Candidate should be able to support the current Disaster Recovery plans and make recommendations for improvements a necessary.
  • May be requested to conduct random restores of data files to validate the integrity of backup files stored on tape, SAN snapshots, or optical media.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the IT leadership team.


Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent experience in conjunction with industry standard certifications.
  • Microsoft MCSE, MCITP, or VMware VCP certification is required, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Information Technology principles and practices.
  • Ability to perform upgrades to applications or systems.
  • Familiar with VMware products and understanding of virtualization technology.
  • Familiar with most vendors of server hardware especially Dell and HP.
  • Understanding of network protocols and networking fundamentals and how they relate to the IT infrastructure and system support.
  • Familiar with NetApp SAN devices.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Visio and have strong documentation skills.
  • Must possess excellent problem solving skills and demonstrate the ability to use proven troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) including configuration, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Understanding of encryption technology including PKI, DES, 3DES, WEP, WPA, WPA2, Certificate Authorities, SSL Certificates, and Microsoft Certificate Manager.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance for outside vendor Remote Access tracking and reporting.

  • Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and gaming license within assigned state of employment.
  • Must successfully pass background check
  • Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age
