Under general supervision, procures goods and services, including warehouse inventory items, direct receiving items, and special project purchases.  Exercises buying responsibilities and judgments on the basis of the best vale, considering quantity, quality and service.


  • Reviews requisitions, contacts vendors, and purchases goods based on agreed upon price, quantity and quality, ensuring timely procurement of goods at price/value to meet the needs of the client departments.
  • Communicates and coordinates with departments in order to understand needs, and anticipate and resolve issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and that purchasing services meet the needs of the organization.
  • Reviews bids for all major purchases to ensure securing the most advantageous deal in relation to price, quantity, quality, service level and delivery schedule.
  • Researches and communicates with existing and potential vendors in order to cultivate working relationships, negotiate cost effective deals, and develop most advantageous price and service agreements.
  • Reviews inventory (such as office supplies and certain food items) and places order in order to maintain par levels of inventory which best meets the department’s requirements.
  • Works with vendors to resolve discrepancies, return items and coordinate delivery schedules in order to ensure timely delivery of quality product that meets department needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


  • Must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming license
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience with word processing and spreadsheet computer applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.


These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and at least 1-year experience directly related to the accountabilities specified, or a combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
