  • What would I be doing?

    Develop and Mentor the Player Development staff ensuring that they deliver over the top guest service while ensuring the Host Team Meets sales goals on a quarterly basis.


    • Directly supervise Player Development team consisting of Executive Hosts and Sales Hosts.
    • Coach, monitor, and develop team members for improved performance.
    • Issuing timely performance evaluations on subordinates and offering guidelines and resources to achieve goals.
    • Manage all guest relations with Hosted VIP guests
    • Work closely with the Director of Player Development to develop packages and events for rated players.
    • Monitor the Club 38 area and the service levels in this area.
    • Oversee the auditing of all departmental comps.
    • Oversee all Executive Casino Host Survey responses along with developing response plans towards the results
    • Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
    • Help in the development of programs specifically geared to premium players; i.e. special events, parties and tournaments.
    • Develop and implement training programs for the Host Team that are specifically geared to foster the relationship marketing effort for rated players and the development of new players.
    • Manage all Sales Force activity and performance.
    • Create comprehensive analysis of Black Hawk market loyalty program and Player Development programs
    • Work with P&A to set financial quarterly goals for Executive Host Team and present final proposal to Player Development Director
    • Develop a relationship with all vendor partners and organize travel to support partnership.
    • Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information disclosed by an Ameristar entity.
    • Oversee the development of profiles on each rated player to ensure all members of guest services know the rated players and how to service them.
    • Oversee the host’s establishment of personal relationships with each of their players by keeping track of phone and letter contacts to ensure they develop healthy and productive relationships.
    • Oversee the host development of new potential high rated players by establishing and actively pursuing their business.
    • Schedule Hosts to be on premises during times when or rated players are present to meet, greet, and take care of any requests personally.
    • Follow up with the scheduling and customer service processes by being on property to ensure their execution.

    • Must be comfortable with handling customer complaints in potentially intense atmospheres
    • Must be able to handle employee issues with company assets in mind.
    • Must be able to stand for a minimum eight (8) hour shift.
    • Locations on casino floor are noisy
    • Will also encounter intoxicated guests frequently.
    • Provide representation of department in specific project and company meetings.
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
    • College degree preferred but not required.
    • A minimum of three (3) years Player Development or related management/sales/marketing experience.
    • Knowledge of the local market and its key players is a plus.
    • Ability to pass a background, drug and MVR (motor vehicle report) tests.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
