Boomtown New Orleans, located on the West Bank of the Mississippi in New Orleans and approximately 15 minutes from the French Quarter, opened in 1994 and features a 30,000-square-foot casino with more than 1,200 slot machines and 31 table games. In 2015, Boomtown opened a new five-story hotel with 150 guest rooms, spacious meeting space and state-of-the-art fitness center just steps away from the casino action. Boomtown New Orleans also features four casual and fine dining venues, a nightclub entertainment venue and more than 14,000 square feet of meeting and conference space.

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer.  The incumbent is also responsible for contributing to the entertaining atmosphere at Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. by greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly manner, and providing change and information regarding Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc.’s facilities.


Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with external and internal customers and team members, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers


Accurately handles guests’ monetary transactions


Pays and verifies jackpots on slot machines according to established procedures


Proactively promotes the my Choice Club card program; understands current card benefits and information and presents program to customers


Communicates all customer service issues to key personnel


 Accurately maintains money flow during shift with customers and team members


Assists in training new team member


Monitors work areas to ensure cleanliness standards are achieved and customer requests are addressed and resolved




This position spends the majority of shift on the casino floor, and is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise levels, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of team members

Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make change

Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation and print and write legibly

Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work area

Ability to reach, carry and deliver change to customers and to maintain bank

Ability to obtain Louisiana Gaming License

Ability to obtain Responsible Vendor

This position spends majority of shift on the casino floor and is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise and smoke, the degree of which depends upon customer volume

Keys, change apron, hand unit (section 12), radio, adding machine and wear a radio head set. 

Superior customer service, communication, and employee interaction skills.

Basic math skills required.

Money-handling and change-making skills.


These skills and abilities are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training in a similar field or through related experience
