The Security Land Officer is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer.  The Security Land Officer is also responsible for maintaining security protection, which includes money transactions, public relations, performing command center functions, assisting guests/customers and employees, as needed, and maintaining order.

  1. Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
  2. Assists sick or injured patrons and employees; performs CPR as necessary.
  3. Attends all safety/first aid training classes; reports unsafe or hazardous conditions.
  4. Assists patrons and employees on directions and proper procedures.
  5. Composes accident/incident reports and witness statements when necessary.
  6. Performs dispatch activities and logs all dispatches accurately.
  • This position is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise levels and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively with customers, as well as all levels of employees.
  • Must be able to read and write legible reports.
  • Must be able to identify and quickly respond to potential problems and conflicts and defend self and others in combative situations.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull boxes and carts, and be able to assist sick or injured customers and employees.
  • Exposed to varying weather conditions; proper clothing provided.


  • Must have effective communication skills.
  • Must be bondable with no felony convictions.
  • Must have valid State driver’s license.
  • Must be able to write clear, accurate, and concise reports.


The skills required of this position can typically be acquired through two months of on- the-job training, or through related experience.
