As an Engineer I you are responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external guest.  The Engineer is also responsible for assisting in the repair of any of the following: mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment (excluding electronic and computer).  Performs maintenance and painting/wall covering and repairs and constructs carpentry structures under general supervision.

Responsibilities

  1. Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
  2. Picks up parts from loading dock, using cart.
  3. Keeps workshop orderly by cleaning tool boxes and straightening electrical storage area.
  4. Works with other Engineers in the performance of daily job assignments, including basic mechanical, plumbing and electrical repair as directed.
  5. Tours casino, offices, and parking areas routinely to ensure adequate lighting in all areas; replaces lights throughout property as needed.
  • This position is subject to varying levels of cold, heat and vibration; proper safety procedures and precautions are taken. May spend time on the casino floor, and is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.  Incumbents are required to work in elevated places inside and outside of the building, such as on lamp posts and parking structures. 
  • Occasionally works outside and is subject to all weather conditions.  Proper clothing is provided.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in mechanics, electronics, plumbing or HVAC preferred.
  • Hand and power tools, drill press, grinders.
  • The skills necessary of this position are typically acquired through prior related schooling or experience in the assigned area.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
