As a Floral assistant you are responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer.  The Floral assistant is also responsible for assisting in providing floral plans and arrangements for the hotel.



The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.


  1. Deliver internal and external guest service the Pinnacle Way by ensuring every interaction includes our Six Core Service Standards (Look Sharp, smile & greet the guest. Be friendly, polite & use courteous language. Provide especially timely & knowledgeable service; and then some! Always find solutions to guests’ problems. Use the guest’s name when appropriate. Thank the guest and invite him or her back.)
  2. Performs daily activities assisting the Florist in providing all floral needs for the property.
  3. Assists in preparing arrangements for special events, catering banquets and guest orders.
  4. Responds to guest inquiries concerning plant/flower arrangements.
  5. Maintains existing floral arrangements and plants in public areas.
  6. Maintains department standards in relationship to service, product quality and delivery time.
  • Ability to stand for an eight-hour shift.
  • Ability to carry floral arrangements short distances.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff and customers.
  • Ability to efficiently move around work area, read and prepares special orders, take and recite orders by phone, etc.
  • This position operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.


  • Must be able to speak English.
  • Basic knowledge of plants and flower arranging.
  • Basic mathematical skills preferred.


These skills and abilities are typically acquired through a minimum of one-year experience in a floral shop and courses in flower arranging and plant care.
