Provides and maintains a safe, fun, and secure environment for our guests and team members. The security officer will also protect the assets of the casino and hotel. 

Safety is a core value at Pinnacle Entertainment. The ability to work safely and prevent personal injury is a key job requirement of every position. Each Team Member is also expected to be committed to the safety of fellow Team Members and our guests and demonstrate that commitment through daily actions.


  • Provide continuous patrol by foot and vehicle of the casino, hotel and surrounding areas owned by the casino. This will be to determine any suspicious persons or vehicles and or minors entering the casino or being left in the parking lots. Uneven and inclined surfaces.
  • To assist the supervisor or assistant preparing detail reports on any security related incidents occurring on company property.
  • Escorts and transports funds for table fills, slots and or banks. Provide security for money drops to include tables and slots. Provides escorts in sensitive areas for all non-gaming team members i.e.; maintenance, repair companies and or cleaning personnel.
  • Responds to disturbances and alarms and provides security for both guests and team members.
  • May be required to operate security dispatch to include dispatching officers, maintaining key control and maintaining all logs required in the dispatch center.
  • Prevent underage guest from standing or lingering in the casino.
  • Monitors stairs wells and Hotel parking.
  • Provide a safe environment for Team members and Guest.
  • Provide a superior guest experience through consistent interaction.
  • This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty.


  • Strong problem solving, mediation, coaching, and consulting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable of applicable state laws and gaming regulations.
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable Colorado Gaming Laws and Regulations.
  • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Able to provide a superior guest experience.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
  • Ability to sustain long periods of time on your feet, while patrolling the casino for guest observations, safety and guest service.
  • Ability to stain long periods of time (4-5 hours) on your feet while posted at a post.
  • Ability to climb stairs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Able to remain calm in emergency and/or stressful situations.
  • Able to work entire shift in a team environment.
  • Must have previous experience in guest service related field.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
  • Ability to obtain and sustain a valid Driver's License and operate company vehicles as needed.
