This position is responsible for understanding and compliance with Company policies & procedures, local, state, federal and PGCB regulations; the protection of Company assets; providing response to calls for assistance; to provide for the general security and safety of guests and employees, in a respectful and professional manner.


  • When required assist local, state, federal law enforcement agencies and emergency services.
  • Monitor guest/employee activity on property to ensure compliance of regulations, as required by all regulatory agencies, i.e., Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program and the Compulsive & Problem Gambling Plan.
  • Responsible for following established reporting procedures of incidents.
  • Responsible for verifying valid ID of guests to ensure compliance with PGCB underage requirements.
  • Provide security and protection for guests and company assets.
  • Transact monetary exchanges in compliance with established regulations.
  • Maintain surveillance of the casino cage and surrounding area.
  • Replace pit boxes on gaming tables after the count.
  • Ensure employees comply with approved promulgated policies and procedures.
  • Administer first aid and CPR within acquired training and ability
  • Author medical reports
  • Report unsafe conditions to the appropriate authority.
  • Respond to disturbances on property.
  • Observe and react to individuals suspected of illegal activity.
  • Perform as control podium officer when assigned.
  • Respond to emergency alarms.
  • Author written reports regarding security incidents.
  • Provide security escort services to employees and guests as required.
  • Direct traffic and control parking when required.
  • Drive company vehicles
  • Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program and the Compulsive & Problem Gambling Plan.
  • Other job related duties as assigned.
  • Be able to perform all other duties assigned to you during your shift.


  • Read, write and effectively communicate in English.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills to both internal & external customers; positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to write necessary reports using standard computer programs.
  • Acquire a working knowledge of policies, procedures, federal & state laws, and gaming control board regulations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment for guests and employees.
  • Maintain required licensure and certification; PGCB credential, EMT certification, driver’s license and proof of insurability.
  • Maintain current required trainings, (dept specific in addition to Comp/Problem Gambling, Tips, Harassment, etc.)
  • Critical thinking skills; ability to demonstrate sound judgment and good decision making skills.
  • Must meet one of the following criteria:
  • Certification as an EMT
  • Certification as a Fire Fighter One
  • Military experience, having attained the rank of at least E-5 Active Duty or E-6 National Guard or Reserves
  • Act 120 Municipal Police Officer Academy. Police academies from other states will be considered on a state-by-state basis.
  • Associate Degree in Criminal Justice.
  • Bachelor Degree in any subject from an accredited college or university.
  • More than five years experience as a full time police officer.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least thirty(30) pounds
  • Requires eye/ hand coordination
  • Must have finger dexterity
  • Hearing ability
  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Requires normal vision range and absence of color blindness.
  • Withstand various activities including constant standing, walking, bending, grasping, climbing, crawling and pushing carts
  • Working in areas which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or illuminated.
  • Regular and predictable attendance required.
  • Constant contact with staff and guest.
