If counting cash is your favorite pastime, this is the position for you!  Accuracy is key in this position!  As the Count Room Team Member, your attention to detail is necessary as you serve as the last hand that touches the cash coming from the casino floor.  Apply today to work at the best casino company in the world!

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Maintains a positive attitude at all times, supporting the policies of Ameristar Casino.
  • Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information disclosed by an Ameristar entity. 
  • Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Standards of Conduct, attendance, appearance, cash handling, confidentiality, safety, and sanitation. 
  • Drop bill validators from the slot machines.  
  • Counting the revenues from all departments in the casino, both gaming and nongaming.     
  • Completing reported drop totals accurately.  
  • This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty.
  • Proper transport of reported numbers to the audit department and IRGC.  

Qualifications

  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Prefer some previous knowledge of slots and casinos
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with little supervision or as a team.
  • Ability to identify circumstances or incidents that require the notification and/or approval of others
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work at a fast pace with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent Guest service skills; maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate friendliness and enthusiasm
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, including standing, bending, twisting, pulling for long periods of time
