Pinnacle Entertainment is seeking a highly skilled and passionate professional to join us in our mission to become the Best Casino Entertainment Company in the World through the delivery of high impact, business aligned Learning & Development Solutions. Reporting directly to Belterra Park’s Learning & Development Business Partner, the Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist will facilitate programs aimed at the development of front-line Team Members and Supervisors, as well as provide coaching and feedback to enhance individual performance and maximize service excellence. The L&D Specialist will also act as the property’s primary learning management system administrator and participate in the development and maintenance of program materials as needed.  


Plan and facilitate PNK L&D Programs, including but not limited to Team Member Orientation, service-related skills development programs, PNK’s Onboarding (peer) Coach Workshops and Supervisor-level Leadership Development Programs.


Support the development of department trainers and Onboarding Coaches relative to L&D best practices as needed.


Act as the primary property LMS administrator, handling session planning, scheduling, record keeping, tracking and reporting.


Monitor and elevate concerns regarding the completion of required learning assignments.


Ensure the availability of program materials and other resources needed for effective program delivery.


Support the maintenance of learning program materials.


Participate in program development and other L&D projects as needed.


  • Hands-on professional with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively facilitate Learning & Development Programs.
  • Well-versed in Learning & Development best practices.
  • Experience with providing effective, engaging coaching and feedback for a diverse workforce; experience supervising others preferred.
  • Superior computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a sense of urgency in exceeding goals.
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, entertainment or other consumer-driven service business is highly preferred.
  • L&D certifications and/or affiliations a plus.
  • The capabilities necessary to perform the job are typically acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1-2 years of experience in the Learning & Development field or an equivalent combination of training, education and professional experience.
