Overview

The Slot Floor Person is responsible for providing friendly, courteous and responsive guest service at, or in the vicinity of, slot machines. They must possess the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.  They must be well-groomed, displaying socially acceptable hygienic standards and maintain company appearance requirements while wearing the specified uniform.

Responsibilities

  • Independently provide minor slot machine maintenance
  • Maintain ticket paper levels in slot machines
  • Monitor and report slot machine repairs needed
  • Initiate, generate and verify Jackpot payouts accurately and efficiently within pre-set authorization limits using Speed Pay Bank and Cage Cashier funding
  • Monitor and respond to radio conversations and requests on silent communication earpiece
  • Respond to service calls utilizing a mobile module device from the Slot Dispatch System
  • Assisting guests with all slot machine related questions and requests
  • Respond to, resolve and complete (blue card) service requests generated through the Slot Dispatch system

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skill Requirements 

  • Must understand and comply with Title 31 and all pertinent PGCB regulations, Internal Controls and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board license  
  • Must ensure all required training remains current
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to read and write in English
  • Basic understanding of slot machines and minor repairs  
  • Must have a commanding ability for money handling
  • Ability to compute and perform basic mathematical problems
  • Interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining professional relationships with guests and fellow employees
  • Must be computer user literate with an emphasis on Microsoft Office (Windows) based operating systems
  • Must be able to efficiently use peripheral computer software essential to job functions
  • Must be able to type at least 30 wpm

Physical Requirements

  • Requires normal mobility
  • Ability to lift, pull and push at least 30 pounds
  • Requires constant standing, walking and bending
  • May require sitting one to two hours per scheduled shift
  • Requires normal vision range (with or without corrective lenses) and the ability to distinguish letters and/or symbols
  • Ability to wear an armband with mobile dispatch module for the duration of work and mobility of the arm for accessing dispatch service calls
  • Requires normal hearing ability
  • Must be able to wear and communicate via radio earpiece
  • Must be able to communicate by telephone
  • Requires hand/eye coordination and manual finger dexterity
  • Ability of wrist and forearm rotation/strength to  key/open slot machine doors
  • Repetitive motions, including typing, telephone and radio usage and Slot machine maintenance
  • Work may be performed in small, enclosed areas
  • Work is performed in a typical casino environment which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or illuminated and may have many distractions
  • Must be able to multi-task, simultaneously monitoring radio traffic and normal operational tasks
  • Constant contact with staff and guests
  • Regular, predictable attendance required
  • Must be able to work assigned (awarded) schedule, including Grave, Swing or Day Shift based upon business needs, shift availability and shift bidding seniority.
