Overview

Under general supervision, provide security and protection of L’Auberge Casino & Hotel; including money transactions, public relations, performing command center functions, assisting guests/customers and employees, as needed, and maintaining order. Security team members will be trained and experienced in responding to all emergencies and property and to conduct if the need arises a calm and smooth evacuation.

 

Responsibilities

Deliver internal and external guest service the Pinnacle Way by ensuring every interaction includes our Six Core Service Standards (Look Sharp, smile & greet the guest. Be friendly, polite & use courteous language. Provide especially timely & knowledgeable service; and then some! Always find solutions to guests’ problems. Use the guest’s name when appropriate. Thank the guest and invite him or her back.).

 

Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary,

 

Assist sick or injured patrons and employees.

 

Assist Games and Slots department in removing drop boxes.

 

Report unsafe or hazardous conditions.

 

Assist patrons and employees on directions and proper procedures.

 

Check identification to ensure guests are over the age of 21.

 

Perform fills, credits, exchanges and marker transfers procedures for departments as needed.

 

Drive company vehicles to transport individuals to specified locations or to patrol company property.

 

Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.

 

Write accident/incident reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. Obtains witness statements when necessary.

 

Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.

 

Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.

 

Monitor surveillance equipment and alarms.

 

Security officers will respond to all emergencies on property and be able to if the need arises to evacuate patrons and employees.

 

Security officers will participate in drills consisting of all emergencies each quarter.

 

Must be able to physically stand for an 8 hour shift.

 

Resolve guest complaints and ensures that all areas of guest service are adhered to.

 

Respond to and handle all occupational injury reports and all incident reports report including vehicle incident reports on property assuring that L’Auberge Casino and Hotel maintains its procedures and liability issues.

 

Security officers will respond to all emergencies on property. Officers will be trained and become proficient in how to respond to all emergencies including evacuation if the need arises. Officers will attend quarterly drills covering all of the above noted emergencies.

 

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license
  • Must obtian and maintain an active state Responsible Vendor Permit
  • Ability to work under pressure by maintaining composure when exposed to stress
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word

 

These skills are typically acquired through a high school education or equivalent and two years customer service experience or through closely related experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

 

 

GAMING LICENSE:

Gaming licenses are a privilege, not a right, and are issued at the sole discretion of gaming regulators based on their review of a licensee’s gaming application and background information.  The following information is required as part of the gaming license application.

  • Name, name changes and any aliases/nicknames
  • Citizenship
  • Current and prior addresses for the past ten years
  • Employment background for past ten years
  • Military service; Must provide a copy of DD214
  • Occupational licenses held, offices or businesses owned in any other states
  • Disciplinary actions, denial or revocation of any occupational or business licenses
  • Marital status, including spouse’s information (including previous marriages)
  • Gaming interests - ownership in any gaming business (past or present)
  • Financial information – financial liens, judgments, bankruptcies, liquidations, repossessions, collections, garnishments and child support (current, owed or under garnishment)
  • Birthmarks, tattoos or distinguishing marks
  • Criminal background information – including all arrests, convictions, lawsuits, indictments, testimonies, pardons or disbarments.

 

Gaming regulators will only issue a gaming license based on the following:

  • No pending or active criminal charges
  • No felony convictions within the last 10 years; No misdemeanor convictions in the past 5 years
  • No convictions related to theft, fraud, illegal gambling or violence (includes misdemeanors)
  • Felony convictions beyond 10 years are reviewed on a case by case basis (some states) taking into account the gravity of offense, timing of conviction and job position and role with the company
  • No active or ongoing unpaid collections, bankruptcies, repossessions, garnishments, child support, etc.
  • Student loans must not be in default status

 

Fees

  • $200 for the gaming license. Renews every two years.
  • $15 - $50 for three pages to be notarized
  • $10 for fingerprints at Louisiana State Police
  • $0.35 - $12 for a color photo of yourself (passport size)
