The Slot Tech Supervisor is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer.  The Slot Tech Supervisor is also responsible for performing all repairs necessary without assistance; possesses advanced and comprehensive knowledge of all facets of slot machine diagnosis and repair; provides training and guidance to lesser experienced technicians, and has previous supervisory experience in the slot field. Supervises staff and resources related to Slot Operations on assigned shift, ensuring compliance with established regulations.

  1. Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with external and internal customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
  2. Diagnoses and repairs the total range of all mechanical and electronic slot machine malfunctions.
  3. Effectively diagnoses and repairs electronic circuit boards.
  4. Utilizes shop machines or devices and may invent or create new parts or circuits.
  5. Acts as a specialist in both mechanical and electronic areas and accepts assignments for complex repair work.
  6. Serves as a supervisor to lesser capable technicians and trainees.
  7. Provides input to departmental planning including scheduling.
  8. Motivates staff in order to develop a more qualified work force and monitors floor coverage
  9. Maintains advanced skill levels and immediately develops expertise required by new technologies for slot machines.
  10. Performs general and preventive maintenance, slot machine inspection, machine moving and installation, all in accordance with established procedures.
  • This position spends majority of shift on the casino floor and is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
  • This position is at times subjected to hazards such as minor and high voltage electrical shocks.


  • Ability to communicate effectively at all times with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to observe and direct actions of subordinates.
  • Ability to inspect and maintain areas and equipment for which responsible and make all necessary repairs to machines.
  • Must be able to use the equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, hand tools, test equipment, grinders, gas and arc welders.
  • This position is physical in nature and requires the ability to bend, carry all repair equipment and crawl so as to be able to make all necessary repairs to machines.
  • This position requires advanced mechanical and electronic diagnostic and repair skills. 


The skills and abilities necessary for effective performance within this position are typically acquired through five or more years of directly related work experience as well as one to two years supervisory experience.
