Overview

Supervise Dealers and guest activity on games as assigned. Maintain game security and integrity in designated area to insure that they are conducted in a manner consistent with State Gaming Commission regulations and the policies and procedures of Ameristar Casino.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to guest service requirement listed above. 
  • Adhere to, interpret, support, and explain established company policies and procedures as well as applicable local, state, federal and other regulatory procedures.
  • Must maintain the strictest confidence pertaining to any and all confidential and proprietary information disclosed by an Ameristar entity or by a guest of Ameristar Casinos.
  • Address Team Member questions and concerns; conduct internal investigations as needed.
  • Foster and maintain positive team member relations in a supportive environment and interfaces with other departments to ensure a harmonious working relationship.
  • Train, coach, assess and review the job performance of subordinates.
  • Continue professional development of self and subordinates as well as assist all team members with career planning and coaching as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self and subordinates.
  • Attend all regular departmental meetings as well as other related meetings.
  • Complete necessary reports in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
  • Respond to reasonable guest requests or place guest in contact with appropriate person for assistance.
  • Must obtain a Team Member Satisfaction Score of 4.0 or greater.
  • Must maintain a Guest Satisfaction Survey score of 90% in the area of “appreciation.”
  • Must complete a minimum of three quality coachings every quarter (one per month) on each team member in communication link.
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times, supporting the policies of Senior Management of the casino as well as Senior Management of Ameristar Casino, Inc.
  • Accountable for the written procedures of each game you supervise.
  • Monitor pit and gaming equipment to ensure proper working order and conditions, and notify Casino Manager of needed repairs.
  • Notify Casino Manager of below standard performance of any team member.
  • Act as a liaison for the Lead Casino Supervisor in the issuance of comps.
  • Be able to perform the duties of the Lead Casino Supervisor in his/her absence.
  • Recommend changes to operation procedures to enhance overall effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Sound knowledge of assigned games.
  • Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Fully Competent in Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem solving, mediation, coaching, and consulting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented. 
  • Ability to effectively work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects or assignments.
