The Barback - Casino Bar is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The Barback - Casino Bar is also responsible for providing bar supplies as needed and maintaining a clean, well-organized work area.

Responsibilities

1.Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.

2.Sets up bars for operation; cuts fruit; stocks ice; empties garbage.

3.Supports bartender needs and maintains the bar stock.

4.Reports any maintenance problems to BeverageSupervisor.

5.Works in assigned location and shift according to department needs.

6.Maintains par levels and orders bar supplies; delivers orders.

7.Sorts bottles and corrugated cardboard for recycling. 

8.Maintains bar cleanliness in accordance with Health Department standards.

  • This position operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume. Incumbents are at times subjected to hazards such as so-mat vapors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to inspect and maintain areas for which responsible.
  • Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Ability to use all equipment associated with the position.
  • Ability to carry, lift and move up to 50 pounds of ice, garbage and bar supplies, lift kegs weighing approximately 200 pounds, and push/pull carts weighing in excess of 400 pounds throughout shift.

Qualifications

  • Prior food and beverage background helpful, but not required.
  • These skills and abilities are typically acquired through 6 months of on-the-job training or through related experience.
  • Stable work history required.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
