To provide guest service, safeguards company funds, maintains an accurate account of cash window impress totals. Provide sales and redemption services for both internal and external guests. Builds and maintain dataset with casino guests.  Maintain a high level of guest service in all duties performed.


Estimated tip rate is $6+/hour in addition to base pay rate of $14/hour.


  • Securing of company funds; provide accurate and courteous guest service.
  • Redeeming coins, cash checks, and supply information to guests.
  • Maintaining and assuring the proper routing of the department’s paperwork.
  • Balance the mobile cart impress total.
  • This is a uniformed position, which requires that team member’s are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty.
  • Responsible for the movement and protection of company funds. This includes pushing/pulling 500 lb. cart.
  • Maintain communication with all departments, Team Members and guests to ensure positive experiences.
  • Be prepared to work in adverse conditions, over-time, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Provide an outlet of sales and redemption of coin and chips for internal and external guests (ex., jackpot/fill window).
  • Implement and maintain a working knowledge of the Ameristar, System of Internal Controls and Star Service Standards as well as Federal Currency Transaction Reporting Laws as they pertain to casinos. 
  • Establishes accurate accounts for players based on data entry guidelines, issue cards and explains the program to them.
  • Issues cash, prizes or comp redemptions based on earned number of points and comps available in player accounts.
  • Updates accounts with information changes and obtains missing information on player accounts.
  • Answers questions about the myChoice program, gaming sessions, transportation services, parking, facilities, hotels, restaurants, and all events and promotions.
  • Responsible for accurately identifying Elite Guests for Preferred Player Boarding and various other complimentaries.
  • Responsible for implementing the current promotion abiding by the rules of that promotion.
  • Participates in special events as assigned.
  • Requires standing for eight to ten hours.


  • Strong problem solving, mediation, and consulting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable of Colorado state gaming regulations.
  • Knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with guest service issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
  • Ability to communicate, understand and write English.
  • Ability to work with interruptions.
  • Must have good communication and guest service skills.
  • Data entry/computer skills are required.
  • Must be mathematically inclined.
  • Money handling and organizational skills preferred.
