The Facility Technician is responsible for all maintenance on the casino vessel ensuring compliance with all applicable regulation, the policies/procedures of L’Auberge Lake Charles Casino Resort and serving both the external and internal customers by providing a clean, friendly, and safe atmosphere on the vessel. The Facility Technician maintains all systems ensuring proper operation according to safety standards; and performs emergency duties as described in the facilities emergency plan and procedures.

This position operates in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, cold, heat, humidity, vibration, crowds, and smoke. Incumbents are often subject to hazards associated with the use of hand and power tools, machinery, chemicals, and other hazards incurred in operating and maintaining a vessel.
Experience in repair and maintenance of vessel mechanical systems.
Ability to work independently and complete projects and solve problems with limited supervision. Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of high school or a trade school and three (3) years mechanical background with electricity, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC. Prior experience on board riverboats preferred.
