Overview

Pinnacle Entertainment is seeking a highly skilled and passionate professional to join us in our mission to become the Best Casino Entertainment Company in the World through the delivery of high impact, business aligned Learning & Development Solutions. Reporting directly to [PROPERTY NAMES’S] Learning & Development Business Partner, the Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist will facilitate programs aimed at the development of front-line Team Members and Supervisors, as well as provide coaching and feedback to enhance individual performance and maximize service excellence. The L&D Specialist will also act as the property’s primary learning management system administrator and participate in the development and maintenance of program materials as needed.  

Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate PNK L&D Programs, including but not limited to Team Member Orientation, service-related skills development programs, PNK’s Onboarding (peer) Coach Workshops and Supervisor-level Leadership Development Programs.
  • Support the development of department trainers and Onboarding Coaches relative to L&D best practices as needed.
  • Act as the primary property LMS administrator, handling session planning, scheduling, record keeping, tracking and reporting.
  • Monitor and elevate concerns regarding the completion of required learning assignments.
  • Ensure the availability of program materials and other resources needed for effective program delivery.
  • Support the maintenance of learning program materials.
  • Participate in program development and other L&D projects as needed.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • Hands-on professional with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively facilitate Learning & Development Programs.
  • Well-versed in Learning & Development best practices.
  • Experience with providing effective, engaging coaching and feedback for a diverse workforce; experience supervising others preferred.
  • Superior computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a sense of urgency in exceeding goals.
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, entertainment or other consumer-driven service business is highly preferred.
  • L&D certifications and/or affiliations a plus.
  • The capabilities necessary to perform the job are typically acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1-2 years of experience in the Learning & Development field or an equivalent combination of training, education and professional experience.
