Overview

To ensure that all goods are received, stored and issued in conjunction with standards established by Purchasing at ACSC.  To ensure that receiving operations and environment are maintained in a safe and efficient manner.  Purchasing is a service department to all other departments and will act in a courteous and helpful manner when working with fellow team members and will provide excellent internal and external guest services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in any work orders for departmental purchase and forward to Supply Chain  Manager for approval.
  • Complete directives as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Ensure that all goods, merchandise, supplies and equipment are received in good quality condition.
  • Clean and maintain work areas such as, but not limited to, cooler, freezer, dry storage, and receiving area.  Collection of empty pallets, empty trash, floor sweeping or buffing.
  • Check all goods, merchandise, supplies and equipment presented for delivery against purchase order or delivery worksheet for accuracy of quality, quantity,      pack and price (if applicable) as well as quality freshness of perishable products.  Aware of “code date of production” on cases of food and beverage products.  Maintain rotation of food and beverage items so that “first in is first out” (FIFO).
  • Responsible for storage and delivery of goods to designated area or department in a timely manner in conjunction with all standards and stipulations established by AEC    .  All orders delivered must be accompanied by the appropriate paperwork and proper signatures obtained.
  • Handle all incoming deliveries that pertain to gaming layouts and playing cards. Must be able to contact the appropriate person(s) that are involved with delivery.
  • Responsible for the day to day supervision of warehouse personnel including payroll, coaching and annual performance evaluations as required.
  • Responsible for department functions, including but not limited to, scheduling, approving  hours, controlling labor and overtime, PTO requests and resolving TMconcerns and issues for human resources.

Qualifications

  • Must have ability in planning, organization of work and training team members in the performance of their daily duties.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate pallet jack and fork lift.
  • Knowledgeable and qualified in all facets of receiving and proper storing procedures.  Monitor proper temperatures of coolers and freezers.
  • Knowledge and ability to recognize areas of improvement for the department and must be able to implement plans of action to make improvement.
  • Must be able to move and restrain loads up to 1000 pounds.
  • Must possess good math skills.
  • Computer knowledge or experience preferred.  Familiarities with inventory slotting systems a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Good driving record required.
  • Must be able to read and write English fluently
  • Lifting required up to 100 pounds.
  • Minimum two (2) year’s experience in a warehouse/receiving environment.
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • High School graduate
