Overview

Manages the Casino Services operation to ensure that cash, chip, and check cashing transactions and procedures are properly enforced.  Ensures the timely collection, accounting, recording, and safekeeping of funds. Safeguard company assets. Oversee entire operation including payroll cost control, scheduling of supervisory staff, compliance of internal controls, state and federal regulations. Oversees issuing of comps and point redemptions, based on player activity.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the movement and protection of company funds. This includes repeated lifting up to 35 lb. and pushing/pulling 500 lb. cart.
  • Recommends to Vice President of Finance any operational policies and procedures for casino services.
  • Prepares data for the department’s budget and takes action on budget variance items.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the casino services operation is managed within the policies and procedures established by management and the State gaming regulations.
  • Ensures all funds are accounted for and that funds transferred between other areas of responsibility are properly accounted for.
  • Ensures that access to the cage areas is by authorized personnel only, and that keys to sensitive areas are properly controlled.
  • Ensures that credit procedures are properly followed.
  • Approves team member work schedules and other personnel related functions such as hiring, transferring, terminating, training, etc.
  • Must have full knowledge of Colorado Gaming Regulations.
  • Maintains communication with all departments, Team Members and guests to ensure positive experiences.
  • Schedule staff based on business demand.
  • Oversee credit and collection functions.
  • Maintain a high level of personal integrity and moral conduct free of questionable association.
  • Will be required to be on call 24 hours per day/seven days per week.
  • Provide a clear action plan towards obtainable goals for the department.
  • Implement and maintain a working knowledge of the Ameristar, System of Internal Controls and Star Service Standards as well as Federal Currency Transaction Reporting Laws as they pertain to casinos.
  • Coach, monitor, and develop team members for improved performance.
  • Issuing timely performance evaluations on team members; offering guidelines and resources to achieve goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem solving, mediation, and consulting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable of Colorado gaming laws.
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with team member relations issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years Casino experience
  • 2 years experience as Main Banker
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent verbal communication required with sound administrative skills.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus.
  • Good basic math skills.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate, understand and write English.
  • Must possess ability to assume responsibility for daily duties and follow directives with minimum supervision.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
