  • What would I be doing?

    1 Anchor Drive , Pittsburgh, PA 15238 - Located at our HARMAR Location! 


    Provide great customer service while issuing betting transactions to players.  This position involves direct communication with players, cash handling and wagering knowledge. This is a union position.


    • Ability to understand and comprehend all facets of horse racing
    • Ability to input wagers into the tote machine and cash/cancel tickets
    • Cash handling, including addition and subtraction of monies without the use of a calculator
    • Ability to be able to read and comprehend tote tickets
    • Responsible for accurate wagers
    • Great listening skills, concentration and typing ability
    • Responsible for maintaining and balancing a drawer throughout shift
    • Responsible for balancing to zero and paying shortages to the main bank
    • Assist in providing player information in regards to scratched horses, race cancellations, payoff/delay and prices
    • Practice teamwork with fellow tellers on line
    • Ability to work in fast/slow paced environments
    • Responsible for recording AML activity
    • Responsible for training when applicable
    • Flexibility to work rotating and double shifts including weekends based on union requirement
    • Must maintain good standing with the union
    • Any other assigned duties and responsibilities




    • Maintain good standing with Local 137
    • Reports to Line Supervisor/Mutuel Manager
    • Interacts with General Manager

    What are we looking for?



    • Must be 18 years of age
    • High School degree or equivalent
    • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
    • Knowledge of wagering terminology
    • Able to follow verbal and written instructions
    • Able to communicate clearly and effectively
    • Able to efficiently use tote equipment
    • Basic knowledge of math skills and cash handling
    • Able to add/subtract without use of a calculator
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently
    • Pass random drug tests



    • Able to sit for extended periods of time-100%
    • Able to type bets into tote equipment for extended periods of time-100%
    • Able to walk and stand unassisted
    • Bends, stoops and stretches-15%
